Environmental Sustainability

Whilst KLC Recruitment is committed to being environmentally sustainable, we must ensure that disruption caused to its services remain minimal. KLC Recruitment will be responsible for reviewing this policy on a regular basis and in the light of operating experience and/or changes in legislation.

KLC Recruitment Commits Itself to Minimising the Impact on Our Environment Through:

  • Providing a safe and healthy workplace;
  • Having an environmentally sustainable aware culture, where responsibility is assigned and understood;
  • Conserving natural resources by reusing and recycling;
  • Using, in our own operations, processes that do not adversely affect the environment;
  • Ensuring the responsible use of energy throughout the organisation;
  • Participating in efforts to improve environmental protection and understanding;
  • Taking steps to improve environmental performance continually;
  • Enhancing awareness among employee’s, volunteers and users – educating and motivating them to act in an environmentally responsive manner.
  • Complying with all relevant government legislation, policies and planning instruments.
  • Encourage all employees and relevant staff members to engage in innovative practices and appreciate the natural environment.
  • Where relevant, review policies and procedures to find more sustainable outcomes, such as using hand dryers or washers instead of paper towel.
  • Where possible, electronic communication will be used to reduce paper use within the office environment.
  • Ensure sustainable practices are incorporated into an employee’s daily routine. This includes:

Recycling and Paper Usage

  • Incorporate recycling paper and rubbish as part of everyday practice. Recycling containers and bins are throughout KLC's offices.
  • Use of the concept “reduce, re-use and recycle” practice to build lifelong attitudes towards sustainable practices.
  • Seek to purchase equipment that is environmentally friendly where possible.
  • Provided coffee machine and tea making facilities at our office to reduce take away coffees
  • Filtered water tank to reduce the amount of plastic water bottles
  • Paperless in the way of using iPad's for interviewing, a computer based time sheet program for our temp time sheets and electronic signing of contracts and policies

Energy and Water Conservation

  • Turn off lights, switches, heating and air conditioning when not in use.
  • Turning off water taps when not in use.
  • Using recycled water within our office space
